Description: February 24, 2018, 11:53am. Public Intoxication/Petty Theft. 27 year old black male, 5’6”, was seen smoking marijuana in the mall parking lot by multiple shoppers, as well as on security cameras. Mall security found him and detained him, believing he matched the description of a shoplifter reported in the center. Upon approach, he appeared exceptionally intoxicated, particularly behaving in the manner of someone under the influence of marijuana. While in custody, the suspect was questioned and strip searched following standard protocols. An understanding was reached by the suspect and the Loss Prevention Officer, and he was released without involvement of law enforcement.
