Description: November 20, 2018, 5:34 p.M. Petty theft. Perp is a latino male suspected of shoplifting on store premises. The perp is interrogated in the backroom by the loss prevention officer, but denies all allegations of theft. Claiming his rights are being violated, the suspect demands to leave if he is not being officially detained. However, after viewing security footage, enough evidence is gathered to charge the perp. He continues to deny the claims of theft, but is now more receptive to our loss prevention officer’s questioning. Instead of involving local law enforcement, the officer deploys his own methods of penal retribution before releasing suspect from custody.
